First Encounters of the Splash Park-Kind...

Welp. For the first time all season, and quite literally, the first time ever, we made it to the Rexburg Splash Park. I know, I know. Lame. We did it! We went more towards the evening so it wasn't too hot, and there weren't as many people. We do have an air conditioner but it's still about 79/80 degrees. I really try not to run it too much during the morning hours because it uses a lot of energy. Energy well spent, of course. Here are a few photos from our adventure!!Bia and I basking in the setting sun. Dang, she's cute.
Taylor was so scared of the water. I don't know what it is but he is terrified. He was screaming and crying so bad that we almost left. He just needed to warm up to that cold water, I guess.

Daddy and daughter. Bia is such a sweetie. She absolutely loves everyone. She had a hard time too, but once big brother was fine, she was as well.
Steve got in on the fun as well. He was showing Taylor how to make the sprays go high.
He liked the atmosphere but once he got wet he was in tears. He did miss his nap, which he is sort of growing out of but still needs one now again. This would've been one of those times.
Bia loved these little sprays. She would bend down and pant them with her hands.

I made them stand there and hold hands. This is as best as we can do. They still look pretty good.
Taylor admired the other kids. They had no fear. He did want to ride the 'horses' afterwards, but I didn't have any cash.
She finally sat down!! I think we just need more practice. We'll have to call the Skiftons to go. They're kind of amazing.
He can do it on his own. Such an accomplishment! I am excited for the new water park that is going up over behind KMart. It will be a much needed thing but it's mostly too cold for the maority of the year so an indoor one would've been ideal. Oh, well. Politics.

Starting with the fingertips...
Bia makes me laugh. She is so funny, all the time. She always grabs the Mr. Potato head glasses and puts them on the back of her neck. Probably because that's the only place it fits. Not now!!!

She was playing peek-a-boo and smacked her nose on my knee. Super sad face.

I can never resist when my kids play the piano. I hope and pray that they will want to be involved in music, whether it be as a profession or for a hobby. Mine started as a hobby and I couldn't get away from it. I love what I do. I hope that my children see my hard work and talents and strive to do the same. It's crazy to think what they will be like and what they will accomplish. I know that it starts in the home. Steve and I both are doing our best to achieve that. It doesn't happen all the time but I know that if we are trying and doing a little each day, we can accomplish our goal.

  1. Alli they look like they had so much fun. I am afraid that I am worse off than you though. I still have not taken my boys there either. Mainly because I have heard how crazy busy it is and I just get nervous. Maybe I will try it before school starts! Thanks for sharing!
