Here we are!! ME & T. He's such a great friend and is SOOO CUTE!! He has a new obsession with a movie we bought, Monsters vs. Aliens.
Aunt Amanda sent up some old clothes of Noah's. In it was a new tie with pants and a vest. He looks pretty good! It is so fun to dress him but I do have to admit buying dresses is WAY fun, too.
This is my nephew, Owen. He comes over once a week so Aunt Becca can go to work. He was enjoying Taylor's hats so much he put two on.As for the rest of our lives it's going pretty well. Steve is getting through the days at the Vision Center and veging at home. He looks forward to Saturdays when he gets to serve in the temple. He had the chance to meet Pres. Eyring and many other area authorities. He learns so many new things and continues to amaze me with his stalwart attitude about attending. I want to start going once a week. It would definitely help me fill my spiritual canteen and get me through whatever is coming next.
For me, I am doing quite well, I think. I am always coming and going during rehearsals and lessons and performances. I LOVE IT!!! There is nowhere I would rather be working. I love what I do and I am so happy I have the opportunity to do it. I am trying really hard to make it to the craft group my friends have started but I my schedule is crazy. I love to craft adnd have seriously missed it. Steve even said to me 'go scrapbook' and i didn't want to. I just wanted to practice. What a nerd?!? One of my vocalists is singing my most favorite of pieces. I'll put a link for it. It's by Robert Schumann. He married a concert pianist, Clara Weick ( I think that's how you spell it! German is hard sometimes) They went to court to get their marriage legalized because her dad wouldn't let him marry her so young. Funny thing is, Clara was SO much better than him. But -- the most romantic part of it all is that everything he wrote was for her. Everything had some underlying -I love you, Clara- message. So it's been a great experience being able to actually play the whole thing. It's a cycle, meaning numerous songs put to poems and performed all at once. It's probably his best work. There's your music history lesson for the week. Anyway - Steve gets annoyed with my talk of Schumann but it's practically incredible. I hope you enjoy it.
(My favorite. No. 1 - Im wunderschonen Monat Mai)
I couldn't get it to just do the video thing so enjoy it at you tube. It's Fritz Wunderlich, one of the best.
You are so cool! I love stories like that about talented people who find inspiration through love. Little T is looking pretty fancy in his new tie! He looks so cute and you can tell by the look on his face that he knows he looks good! Also, I am trying to go to the temple every other Tuesday, so next week if you are interested, give me a call on Monday night, and we'll go together!
ReplyDeletehave a good day!
Awwww I love little boy clothes. Dresses are fun, but those little suits and ties get me everytime. Thanks for sharing that about Schumann. I miss music, in HS I wanted to be a music teacher but then discovered I would have to be insane to do it well so changed to being a Elementary school teacher that used music in the classroom. :)
