Thanks everyone so much for updating so frequently so recently!! I am such a nerd and check blogs several times during the day. So, thanks for your postings! Since we've been not posting for a while here are several new things happening/happened to us!
I came back to wash him off and he was covered EVERYWHERE! it was funny.
He still has problems staying in his bed. JK! he fell asleep. the funny guy...
He 'got stuck' watching Einsteins. He tried to pull out the wrong way.
I promise I will take more photos of Liv to post. She's mostly kicking and laughing all the time. She is such a fun little girl. It's great to pick her up out of the crib and see her smiling and enjoying herself. She is an easy going baby, which has been a blessing. Taylor was hard because he was up so often. I don't think I even attempted to wear makeup for several months because I was trying to get as much sleep as I could. But -- Liv is wonderful and such a joy. She is always happy to see you and is continuing to grow. She's 12# 7 oz. 24.5 in tall!! She's chunking out and loves to smack on those hands. I think you really forget a little about what they do when they are that little. It's been so much fun and we definitely are thankful to have her.
Taylor is registered to start pre-school in January. There also is a Toddler program on campus as well. I am going to sign him up because I think he could use the social interaction. I mean we go outside and have people over, but it would just give him time away from home and an opportunity to do some fun stuff. He will love it. Everyone who has had a child on campus in their program has loved it. So I am excited but a little nervous to see what happens. He's really good about going places without me. Nursery isn't a problem anymore. He loves to go. His speech is coming along as well. He is speaking more in sentences. He knows what he is supposed to say and does it. If he doesn't we tell him to use his words and help prompt him a bit. He usually will come and say, "momma, I want..." and it's great! He's such a fun guy and my best friend. He is crazy!!!
Steve is still working at the Vision Center. One of the Dr's son's is (I think two actually) is there now getting ready to take over the clinic. He is so nice and Steve really likes him. Steve had the pop lady buy some vanilla coke once. He kept going down to the break room to get one and was noticing after a while that there were fewer and fewer pops. He asked her one day, thinking he drank the entire box, "Wow! These sure went fast. Have you had any?'' She told him that the Dr's son was drinking it too. Steve was like 'PHEW! I didn't drink a whole box of coke!" It was really funny. He enjoys it but it gets old as any job does. So back to the grind...
So the journal begins...
As for me, I'm just at home waiting for classes to start. You may think,"Why? She graduated?" Well, part of my employment comes from campus. I accompany the vocal and instrumental students. I can charge my own rates and work whenever I want. It's the best job EVER!! I love it. Plus the faculty know me and I can get hired for the opera (hopefully) again. If the church is still in its hiring freeze, then I might not be able to be hired. So we'll wait and see what happens in the next couple of weeks. There was a job opening as an accompanist at the middle school I am checking out. It would be fun and something different. The music would NOT be very hard and it would be fun. I loved choir growing up and was always in it. I am reading a book about the Revolutionary War with a fictional family, Prelude to Glory: Our Sacred Honor . It's by an LDS Professor who grew up in Twin Falls. It's wonderful and it's huge, like 800+ pages. I love it and am NOT done because the kids wake up or I fall asleep. So I will hopefully finish and move onto the next. It has like 9 books. It's a good GOOOD read if you're looking for something interesting. I love our military and the time of our country's birth. It really shows how this land was preserved for the gospel. There would have been NO way the colonials would've won if the Lord was not on their side. The British had SOOOO many advantages that it's amazing to see how and what happened and what results today. I fear that if I continue on I will bore you and start whining (I try to keep the personals and whining out of our blog. It's more pleasant to read that way) So enjoy you're day and smile!! We're heading to the Splash Park with my friends for a while, and I'm playing in devotional today!!
It's fun to see your adorable children on here! Taylor looks so much like his dad! I love it!
