Taylor's Trip to the ER

We just wanted to let everyone we had an accident yesterday around 5 pm last night. Taylor was at the daycare and was going into another room with the other kids. He was the last one and the boy before him closed the door. Taylor still had his finger in the door and the boy kept pushing. This caused his right ring fingernail to be ripped off. He also has a small laceration about 3/4 the way down to the cuticle.
We took him to the ER and had two stitches as well as the original nail replaced. He also is on an anti-biotic to prevent infection. Other than that he is doing very well. The staff was very impressed with how mild Taylor was at the hospital. Doctor Mayberry gave him two numbing shots into his finger and was amazed that Taylor didn't move and didn't scream louder. Once the shots were in he became more like himself.
X-Rays were taken to make sure that his finger tip wasn't broken. It is not. He was very hungry and thank goodness Grandma/Marilyn was with us. She had a fruit snack in her purse. It was nice to have her there.
We have a few photos of his bandage. We can't take it off until tonight but we want to keep it on for a couple of days. Taylor is quite cheery and more like himself. He hasn't even tried to take the bandage off.
