New News

Sorry for the long absence. We're really here, and really still alive. Thank goodness!!! We have been so busy with work and school and tending to Taylor's finger that blogging didn't happen. We're doing well though. Steve is headed to the temple at 5:30AM tomorrow to help his student ward do baptisms for the dead. Then he'll start his long day of being the Sealing Coordinator. He's the guy you report to if you're getting sealed that day. He's quite the little organizing-man. He is just the right person for the job, very efficient, and very kind. I remember being at the temple to be sealed to him and being so scared. Being to the temple for the first time was really a unique experience. I know that brides and grooms will be at ease when they see his peaceful countenance in the House of the Lord. I am so proud of him and we are blessed in ways we don't even see due to his loyal service in the temple.

Taylor is doing well also. He is enjoying his daycare/preschool while I am at school. He has a Mickey Mouse fetish that we've mentioned before but now it's "Speed" (aka Lightning McQueen). He will watch that movie non-stop and anywhere we go and see a red car he calls out, "SPEED!!" It's really cute. He still loves to watch and point out all the Mickey Mouses as well. He is attending speech therapy once a week to help him get caught up on his speaking. he knows sign language and the therapist said that was fantastic. For a child to sign it's a lot harder than speaking. So he is doing well. He understands what you tell him so we're working on his replies. Our homework this last week was keeping up with his animal sounds. he knows how to make a lion 'roar' and a dog 'woof' and a cow 'moo'. Sometimes we get 'roar!' for each animal. He's learning so much and is still getting really tall!!!

As for me, I am surviving. Midterms are over (YEAH!) and we're onto the second half of my last semester. It's incredible to believe that I won't have to go classes anymore. It's sad if I think about it because I really learned how to love school and get the most out of it. It's been a huge shift since high school, but who didn't love high school, eh? JK! It was fun. There is just something amazing that we take for granted: we can learn anything through the Spirit. I have learned numerous things and it's been incredible to be taught through the Spirit, and especially through music. It's one of a kind thing. I am also grateful to be at this school and am so excited because...

STEVE GOT ACCEPTED AND WILL START CLASSES

IN THE

SPRING SEMESTER 2009!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK, STEVE/DADDY!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

We were celebrating Aunt Joni and Uncle Nate's birthdays over the weekend/holiday. I took a quick pic of Taylor and I. He keeps sucking on his upper lip!! Not cool.

The four of us pregos! Due in May (Whitney), June (Allison), June (Joni), and August (Amanda).

He fell asleep on the way to the party. He's biting his lip and Steve thought it was hilarious!
