A Few Things

Olivia is getting SOO BIGG! She is such a cutie and has to put her bracelets on her arm. Unlike some people in our family she's got skinny arms!! And she's two... She is the most jibber jabbery little chicka there is.  She loves to sing and dance and run. Her knees are mostly scuffed up because she can't seem to stay on her feet she's so fast!!! We love our little Bia!

One thing I absolutely love about having true friends is that we actually do stuff together.  There's a lot of people that I've met in our ward and on campus that I consider 'friends'. But a true friend, a real true friend comes few and far between. I've had several friends that'd say they would do anything and invite me over and want to come over and then never speak to me again. Man, did that hurt. Truly. I am so grateful for the few people I can really call my friends. I've also learned how to be a better friend; be the person that I hope and pray would call to see how things are going with my little family.  I LOVE good people.
Cait Raney had her birthday dinner on Saturday. It was a blast because we got dressed up. I've noticed that unless you're doing something that specifies "Special Occasion" you dress up. So we went to Olive Garden for a night on the town. And in Idaho Falls that's about it, unless you go to Sandpiper or Jaker's. I was so excited to go and excited it was Cait's birthday. I love birthdays, except my own.  I really just haven't had a good birthday in a while, except this past one. I was very appreciative of all wishes and concerns about me! Thanks!!!
We took our hubbies, too.  Tanner McDaniel, Scott Raney, and Steve.
Dressed to KILL! We looked great and had such a fun time.  We even sang to Cait! And we had four waiters/waitresses. We were a big deal!
She's 24. Ah, the days of being young. Hey wait! I'm only 26. It's weird to think that but I'm just as young and fabulous, right!? It's only in your head.

Taylor started Pre-K program today. He wasn't  a bit nervous. We (Olivia and I) went to pick him up and he was a little mad he couldn't ride the bus home. I'm not saying that he can't do it I'm just saying I'm a little nervous of him going by himself. I mean ever since this who Autism Spectrum thing went down I've been probably even more protective of him. I've let go a lot but I just could see him not making it to class or getting hit by a bus because he doesn't know the boundaries of sidewalk and street. I'm quite overprotective but I feel I need to be for a little while. Heck the kid's only 4, he's not 16.

I'm so excited for the semester to start. I'm just waiting around and practicing until I hear from my students. There's the Pink Card Meeting today which they submit their schedules and start lessons in the next few days.  It's a long process because they're are soooo many people taking voice lessons.  I've got a clarinetist, a flutist, and a violist AND they're all doing recitals!!! I've got a total of 9.  It's a little hard to talk to non-music people but I've learned to keep it to a minimum. So here's about Steve:
He's still serving in the Temple on Saturdays.  9:30-4:30 - 6 sometimes.  He loves it and is so worn out when he gets home.  He's still at the Vision Center and one of their Drs is moving down to practice at Sears. I was excited but sad he's one of my favs and his dad is my next fav.  His dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and his chemo treatments didn't go as well as they thought.  So maybe the son will stay and practice in Rexburg. That would be wonderful.
Steve is LOVING not having to do homework. It is one of those nice things about NOT being in school.  We had AnneMarie Medina over for dinner last night and I agreed with her that I miss being in classes, but the homework is not something we miss.
GOOD LUCK!!! To everyone in school this year, all ages alike!
