Well, here goes our last appointment before deciding to be induced. I still feel the same way about inductions. One very nice thing is that Steve is so supportive of what I want to do. He is wonderful and is a super dad. He is so excited for his little girl, too.
I was talking to a friend of mine and she said it's a personal choice and she's right. They're for some and not for others. So we'll see what she says. The doc is camping with his fam so we'll see his assistant lady who is freakin' awesome. Hopefully we can decide what to do but I did have a bunch of contractions last night. I can't believe how crazy they are. It's amazing what time does to your memory. Thanks for drugs, eh? JK! We're excited and I'm a little nervous but it will all be ok.
The best advice someone gave me, my sister, was that labor doesn't last forever. It doesn't even though it feels and may be a long time, but it will all turn out in the end. I'm going to spend some time with my mom today, too, so that will be nice. Thanks to everyone for their love and support and good luck wishes. We really appreciate every one's concern for our family. We wouldn't be where we are today without them. Good luck to our sister, Joni, who is being indcued on Wed. next week. We'll have two babies in about a week!! Outrageous, but FUN!! Taylor is excited and keeps asking where the baby is. He is such a sweetheart and always has been a very helpful little guy. I am so thankful to be doing this.
Another BIG thanks to my VTer, Ashley Skifton, for helping me out with my lesson for RS. She's awesome and I am thankful we have become good friends.
Wish us luck!
Love,
Allison, Steve, & Taylor
I hope all turns out well for your guys! Having kids close is fun in the family! My sister's baby is 5 days older than Mckenna and it is so fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I can't wait to see pictures of your sweet little baby :)
ReplyDeleteGOOD LUCK HUN!
ReplyDeleteI WAS INDUCED WITH BECKETT AND IT TOOK A LONG TIME, BUT I WAS AFRAID OF HAVING A 10 LB BABY. I KNOW HOW IT IS TO MAKE THAT DECISION. AND I AM SURE YOU WILL MAKE THE BEST DECISION FOR YOU AND THAT SWEET LITTLE GIRL YOU ARE ABOUT TO HAVE. WE WILL KEEP YOU IN OUR PRAYERS AND BE WAITING ANXIOUSLY FOR THE UPDATES!
I KNOW YOU HAVE FAMILY, BUT PLEASE LET US KNOW IF WE CAN HELP WITH TAYLOR, OR YOU NEED MORE DINNERS OR ANYTHING AT ALL! OH BY THE WAY, YOU LOOK WAY TOO GOOD FOR BEING 39 WEEKS PREGNANT... SO NOT FAIR! I WAS A WRECK BY 36 WEEKS :)
I have done both...
ReplyDeleteInduced with Dallin and on my own with Tanner. I would do it either way with the next one. There are good and bad things about both. I personaly like waiting till my due date. Dallin was a week over, then induced (6lbs.9oz). Tanner was 4 days over on my own (7lbs. 9oz). Either way I feel comfortable with as long as the size of the baby isn't too big. I got a lot bigger with Dallin then I did with Tanner. My Dr. was suprised how big Tanner was for the size I was showing. Good Luck with your decision.
Good Luck, and you will make the best decision for you and your family. We will be thinking about you and sending prayers your way! Can't wait to see pics of her :)

Maybe I will try inducing you through prayer... haha. I will pray every night for you to go into labor. As your friend and VT, I want news ASAP when it happens! =) No worries about the lesson... but thanks for the "shout out," =)
ReplyDeletealso, sorry we aren't any help with the name situation, it's pretty evenly divided. =)
ps, what do contractions feel like? I hope to find out for myself.. but I wouldn't know it if it was happening!

Goodluck Allison- I have gotten induced with both of my kids, but my sisters and I don't ever have contractions on our own. We have all been induced, but like you said everyone is different. Goodluck with the decision and I hope everything goes wonderfully. I am coming back up to Idaho this coming Monday through Sunday. So maybe I can see a new baby!!!
ReplyDeleteHey girl, good luck. I was 4 days late so i was induced and i loved it between that and the epidural I slept 10 hours of my 13 hour labor. And everything went smoothly but everyone is different. But if you do decide to be induced, dont worry youll do great! Love Ya, I can't wait to see pics of her.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Sweetie!!! Labor actually went faster with my second...A LOT FASTER. So I'll pray for a fast labor for you, but not too fast. :) As for inducing...well both of my kids were two weeks early so I never really had to be induced. My sister with her last child was almost two weeks late so she got induced and said she's never do it again unless she had to. Not to scare you or anything, that's just what my sister told me. :) I also had a friend who said the opposite and said it was so much better. So I guess it all just depends who you are and what you want. :) But good luck and I look forward to hearing when you have the cute little girl. :)
