Lightning Apron

All right. So yes, I am an impulse buyer. But, I have changed my ways and have downsized ALOT! This one I couldn't resist. We gave this to Taylor for Valentine's Day and he would not wear it until a week ago. He didn't like the hat. It's perfect little chef hat and he loves to cook. Anytime he sees me pull out the Kitchen Aid he tries to pull a chair over to get up and help. He is so funny. He finally stopped for a pose.

I said, "Say cheese, Taylor," and immediately he did! Goofy face.

The other daily adventure Taylor loves to be on is putting his hamper on his head and running around. The newest thing is to put it on and make it spin around him. He was laughing so hard it made Steve and I laugh harder.
His finger is doing alot better. The stitches haven't come out. The nail hasn't fallen off. We were told about ten days but nothing has happened. His original nail that they sewed back on is now growing onto his nail bed and helping his new nail grow. We were a little worried but, oh well. He's happy and is better about letting us look at it. It's also amazing what Lightning McQueen band aids can do to ease the situation.

Taylor also got his two year photos taken. If you'd like to take a look here is the link. There's no access code or anything. They were taken by Jeff Smith. We always go to a professional photographer because we know we will have the best pictures possible. I know there's alot less cost to go to Sears or JCPenny's, but we really like this photographer and his photography.

On the other side of drama I was under the impression that I was set for graduation. I have applied, been accepted and am picking up my cap and gown in two weeks. I got an e-mail from the advising office in the Snow building and they said I needed to get my 2nd cluster approved, humanities. I thought that i had done that over the summer but apparently not. So I went to the Smith to get it approved and the student there said that I couldn't count a class for my cluster because it was a major course requirement. So that means I would have to hurry and register for a block class and hopefully pass, or walk in graduation and take one class over the summer. When he found out that I was supposed to graduate he was even more confused because I should've gotten a letter or some sort of notification telling me that I couldn't graduate because my cluster was not fulfilled. I was REALLY confused. So I went back to the Snow advising office and apparently this one class counts for both a major requirement and a GE credit. WOW! I lucked out. Good thing I took it. I mean, the class is called "Music & the Humanities". How much closer can you get to both major and GE requirement?!? Anyway - so the teacher I have to have it approved by is actually one of my professors. So I'll just talk to him on Tuesday and get this cleared up. I was so mad!! I called Steve and my mom.
Steve is doing well. He is having a bit more trouble with his feet and legs. We think he might have rheumatoid arthritis. So we just try to deaden the pain with generic stuff and elevate them alot. He's on his feet most of the day and then all day Saturday at the Temple. He said that last week there were so many sealings that had children in them that it was really fun to see these special little people in the temple, dressed in all white. he really loves his service and enjoys a day off from the worldly stuff. He got my graduation gift and I got him a cd he's been wanting for a while. He said that if he wasn't LDS he'd be a southern baptist. There's this movie called, "The Fighting Temptations." It's got a lot of gospel music in it. I got him the soundtrack to say thanks. He's so good to our little family, and he's really excited about our new little baby. We got her blessing dress and two others. One is plaid and Steve just about died when I showed him I wanted it. I told him that my ancestry is from Scotland and I'm used to plaids and tartans. He finally agreed.
We hope you're all doing well and getting by!!!

  5. what cute pictures! Senn is way into "Cars" right now too...where did you find the apron? I actually saw Steve again at the temple Saturday...it was super busy...I could barely find a parking spot. I'm so glad he gets to serve in that capacity!

  7. Sorry to hear that Steve's feet and legs are hurting so much. Just a thought, call Devin and have him adjust Steve's feet. Honestly, you would be amazed at what they can do for pain in the feet and legs.
